In São Tomé and Príncipe responsibility for regulation and supervision of sectors and telecommunications, postal services, water and electricity are assigned to a multi-sector entity, AGER - General Regulatory Authority established pursuant to Decree-Law No. 14/2005 24 August.

In its spectrum management function and the numbering system, it is responsible for the planning, allocation and supervision of such resources.

The AGER is under the Ministry responsible for Telecommunications, has legal personality, with technical autonomy, administrative, financial and patrimonial.
